Lately, I have become more interested in what is inside rather than external things. Pulling from childhood memories, repressed thoughts, unresolved relationships… I make art about things that I do not know or do not understand. Painting brings the unknown a little bit closer and possibly closer to an acceptance of uncertainty.
This new series uses form to sum up a collection of reoccurring feelings of my personal history. I hope the paintings create a space for reflection of a shared human experience.
